Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Chicago' for 'CDT/-5.0/DST' instead in /backup/qa/www/sub/rss/product.php on line 32

While trying Pocket Contacts Synchronizer, I was asked for a Microsoft product. I do not have Microsoft Office installed. I would like to be able to sync a tab delimited contact data file with Contacts on my PPC. Or, sync a spreadsheet file such as xls. Is this possible? If so, any special instructions? Thanks - cmj

I tried for several hours to set up a profile that would allow me to download my Thunderbird address book (via csv) to a iPAQ - I never got it to sync correctly, however. Weird text that didn't appear in the csv, etc., prevented the program from being at all useful. Another serious limitation is that there's no way to modify a profile; that is, if you determine that you left off a field or mapped it incorrectly, you must simply start over. After trying that for several hours, I just gave up. It's a great idea, I wish it had worked.
